From October 8 to 11, 2025, the INTERLAW 2025 Annual Meeting took place in the historic and picturesque city of Edinburgh, UK. As the only law firm from Chinese mainland in attendance, Zhonglun W&D Law Firm sent Lisi Zhou, Partner at the Qianhai Office, and Yanran Fu from the Tianjin Office to attend this grand event and engage in professional exchanges.
The 2025 Annual Meeting, hosted by Edinburgh-based law firm Morton Fraser MacRoberts (MFMac), was themed “Optimism and Opportunity in a Time of Change” and brought together over 200 legal professionals from 80 countries and regions.
Delegates at the conference held in-depth discussions on global business, investment, and regulatory legal issues, with particular focus on Energy & Infrastructure, Labor & Employment, and Intellectual Property & Artificial Intelligence. Attorneys from the host firm shared valuable insights into Scottish legal policies, regulatory frameworks and emerging trends in these sectors.
Beyond the formal sessions, the conference offered delegates a taste of Scottish culture. The closing gala dinner on the final evening—held at the National Museum of Scotland with delegates in traditional attire—brought the 2025 INTERLAW Annual Meeting to a memorable end.
